Hyderabad,
April 10: Is the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who is being
praised by the Congress as ‘Mr. Clean’ a smuggler? Is he smuggling red
sanders with the help of his brothers? Is he plundering public money
through import of coal at exorbitant rates? Is KCR a partner in the YSR
Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal activities?
Yes, says the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu
has started his party’s election campaign from Tirupati on Monday, by
launching a scathing attack on Congress, YSRC and TRS as well.
Naidu
has alleged that Kiran was getting red sanders smuggled through his
brothers, with Pileru as the centre of his activities. He said Kiran was
also robbing the state through coal import kickbacks. Naidu has also
charged the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao of being a partner of Jagan’s
illegal activities and a share-cropper of his ill-gotten wealth. He has
pointed that it was because of this unholy alliance between the TRS and
the YSRC, that Jagan was welcomed into Telangana with rose petals,
while stones were hurled at him.
Though Naidu’s
allegations are to be taken with a pinch of salt, it appears to be a
fact that TRS and YSRC have come closer. Though Jagan was not welcomed
by TRS with rose petals as Naidu has alleged, it is a fact that the TRS
protest against Jagan’s entry into Telangana was just notional. Jagan
not fielding candidates in the Telangana region and thus facilitating
the victory of TRS candidates in the recent by-elections is also a
pointer to the close relationship between Jagan and KCR.
It
should be seen what stand TRS would take in Parakala, where Konda
Surekha would be seeking re-election as YSR Congress this time. If there
is real collusion between Jagan and KCR, the latter would not field TRS
candidate there.
